Effective communications will always be a vital tool in the struggle to represent working people.

Both activists and rank-and-file workers need concise, accurate information that supports organizing and collective bargaining efforts, and that briefs working families about developments that affect their workplaces, their communities and their lives.

The Communications Department assists members, Local Unions and Joint Councils in their efforts to speak out on behalf of workers. From websites and newsletters to press conferences and videos, the Communications Department uses a wide variety of methods, materials and technologies to spread the Union's message clearly and effectively to a wide spectrum of audiences.

Our mission is to ensure that our 1.4 million members speak with one, powerful voice—a voice that reflects the true nature of the Teamsters Union.
